PRINCESS AND THE PAPARAZZI vintage poster print. This cover from an Italian newspaper of 1961 shows Princess Maria Gabriella of Savoy skiing at the famous French Alps ski resort of Courchevel. The princess had reportedly hope to ski incognito but was met by dozens of photographers when she hit the slopes.
Princess Maria Gabriella of Savoy (Maria Gabriella Giuseppa Aldegonda Adelaide Ludovica Felicita Gennara; born 24 February 1940) is the middle daughter of Italy's last king, Umberto II, and Marie José of Belgium. She is a published historical writer and lives in Naples.
Educated in Switzerland, Maria Gabriella also took courses in a school associated with the Louvre in Paris. After her father's death she launched the King Umberto II Foundation in Lausanne, dedicated to preserving the history and legacy of the House of Savoy.

We supply professionally framed prints ready to hang with a choice of flat black, white or natural oak frames 30mm in width. We choose to use Shinkolite 3mm cast acrylic in our frames - it is lightweight, virtually unbreakable, has greater optical clarity than glass and provides your print with long term protection from harmful UV rays greatly reducing the risk of fading.
Our canvas is 400gsm artist quality, real polyester/cotton canvas with a 2:1 weave structure for highest print quality results. The water-resistant coating allows a wide colour gamut and extremely high colour densities. The canvas can be framed or stretched by your local framer.
Our images are professionally scanned and retouched from original sources in our collection of vintage journals, magazines, posters, newspapers and other ephemera from the 1850s to the 1970s.
Our production and design staff are experts in image restoration and have many years' experience in the design and print industry.
