- A confit pot from the south of France which would have been used for keeping meats fresh for dishes such as cassoulet.
The bottom half of the confit pot was left unglazed as the pots were half buried in the ground to keep the contents fresh.
These look fabulous on the kitchen bench filled with utensils or as a vase - just be sure to put flowers in a glass jar inside the confit pot rather than straight into the pot itself.
